The Miller Park Case

Our law firm was privileged to participate as co-counsel in the historic wrongful death case for the widows of three ironworkers killed when a huge crane collapsed during the construction of Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. Our client, a widow of one of the ironworkers, shared a $99 million dollar verdict for compensatory and punitive damages with the two other widows. This verdict was the largest verdict for a construction site death in the State of Wisconsin. Our law firm also was recognized for one of the top two verdicts reported to the Wisconsin Law Journal in 2004.

Clients have also sought our assistance for wrongful death suits as a result of negligent nursing home care. In one case, our attorneys were able to recover a $420,000 settlement for the family of an elderly nursing home resident whose wheelchair rolled out of the open backdoor of a transit van before being properly secured.
